Arthur drops his sword in the lake, and is astonished to see that it appears to have turned to wood. He starts and says, "What in...?" Merlin, standing behind him stifling snickers asks with a mischievous smile, "Is something wrong, my lord?" "Merlin, my sword, it appears to have turned to wood!" Merlin, visibly laughing now says, "Why Arthur, it looks like a perfectly good sword to me!" Glaring, Arthur looks round to each of his companions in turn, and Lancelot says, "I have to agree with Merlin, sir. Same old Excalibur; fit for a king." Arthur lifts an eyebrow and says, "And I bet I can still take the likes of you with it," pointing it with an ominous smile at Lancelot. Lancelot laughs, "All right, all right. I yield. Merlin, give him his sword back." And, with a wave of Merlin's hand and a loud popping sound, the sword returned to its former luster.
